Read Me - SNA•ck 1.1 Demo Copyright © 1992, Advanced Software Concepts S.A. SNA•ck Presentation : -------------------- Developed by Advanced Software Concepts, SNA•ck is an SNA connection tool based on the 3270 API's of Apple's new SNA•ps 1.1 gateways. SNA•ck works exclusively with our asc3270 terminal tool in order to initiate 3270 terminal sessions using the SNA•ps gateway and the standard access interfaces of the Communications Toolbox. We have scheduled a new release of SNA•ck for August 1992, which will also implement full support for the communication hardware provided by Avatar and former TriData products. SNA•ck is System 7.0 compliant and supports balloon help. IMPORTANT NOTE: SNA•ck is Copyright © 1992 by Advanced Software Concepts. This Demo is being made available on this forum ONLY for evaluation purpose. Enclosed is a demo version of SNA•ck. This version is fully functional, but the connection time is limited to 8 minutes for each session. Also, an Installer application is delivered with the commercial version which allows an End-User or a System Administrator to setup the default connection parameters. Hardware & Software Requirements : --------------------------------- • Any Macintosh with at least 128K Roms (Macintosh Plus and newers). • Macintosh System Software 6.0.4 or later. • The Macintosh Communications Toolbox v. 1.0 or later. • asc3270 our 3270 terminal emulation tool for the Communications Toolbox. • A Communication Toolbox compliant application like 5PM (our own powerful terminal emulation application), ClarisWorks, MacTerminal or Sample (delivered with the Communications Toolbox Basic Connectivity Set). • SNA•ps v. 1.1 or later, Apple's SNA gateway for the Macintosh. • The SNA•ps 3270 API's.
